Qez castle is located in the south of the Grindeq village which is located in Takestan county, Iran. You will find Qez castle in 20 kilometers of Takestan county and near the Abkelo village. This castle is on the top of the stony mountain where you’re able to see it miles away.

Qal’eh Dokhtar is left from Sasanian Empire or Islam origination. Qez and Dokhtar which both of them use for this castle literally mean daughter.
Architecture of Qal’eh Dokhtar
Dokhtar Castle leads to the valley from three sides and the only way to get there is from the south. A tall mortar made wall which you can find there, expresses the stability of this defense fortress.
